However, there will be certain standards which we will expect from members and a reasonable period of time in which to address any serious concerns, prior to a last resort of being removed from the register.
Our desire is for members to be active and vibrant in their membership that have a similar desire of that of the founders:- 'to continually improve their customers (and pets) experience of the dog sitting & dog boarding industry in the UK'. About NARDS - Nationwide Associates of Registered Dog Sitters
NARDS was initially conceived as a result of the lack of sound guidelines, ethics and accountability in the dog caring industry, here in the UK; coupled with a need to stem the rising costs of dog sitting and dog boarding insurance. Members have been concerned for many years over these aspects and as a result of mutual associates, we have all come together to form a group of associates that holds a register of members with a certificate of membership and a place for dog owners to voice any concerns they may have in the UK.

Current Members can be identified by a NARDS Membership logo on their website and marketing materials.
We have a number of sound guidelines for members to refer to and work within (we are open to suggestions for any improvements where appropriate). Whilst we do not aim to be a policing organisation over such guidelines, we hope that members will have a desire to improve their offerings to their customer dog owners. However, there will be certain standards which we will expect from members and a reasonable period of time in which to address any serious concerns, prior to a last resort of being removed from the register.
